Our records facility allows you to search burial, cremation and memorial records for Enfield Memorial Park, Cheltenham Cemetery, Smithfield Memorial Park and the historic West Terrace Cemetery. Simply complete the form below to find the location of the deceased. Once you have found the person that you are looking for, you can print a map that shows exactly where they are interred.

Note that historically, often the Date of Burial was recorded rather that the Date of Death. Until the 1940’s burial usually followed just one or two days after death. From the 1950’s onwards burial was less time critical and often followed death by as much as 7 days.

Deceased Enquiry

Having trouble locating the person that you are looking for? To request a thorough search of our cemetery records please complete and return the Deceased Enquiry Form.

As it is not uncommon for our records to contain hundreds of entries of persons with the same or a similar surname, it is important to provide us with as much detail as possible. This includes the deceased’s surname, given name and date of death, as well as the cemetery within which they are located.

While we will endeavour to process you enquiry within seven working days from receipt of the completed form, our staff are required to research and cross-check numerous source records to ensure correct identification.

Please note that any information sought will be subject to Commonwealth Privacy Act, 1988.
